Flavorz Pack

Flavorz Pack

Emboldened by his prominent appearance on Bad Bunny’s “VeLDÁ,” Puerto Rican phenom Dei V made 2025 count with Underwater and the EP-length LOS FLAVORZ. Judging by his rather robust 2026 outing Flavorz Pack, the melodic rapper’s skills have only grown stronger since that breakout feature, bringing no shortage of lyrical dexterity to match his malleable flows. Opening with the cocksure, codeine-coated “Candy Man” and the luxurious, lustful “Cuchi Cuchi,” he lays out his agenda with crystal-clear intent. Divided into four parts, the roughly hour-long effort largely adheres to the themes exemplified by those two tracks without ever getting formulaic. Dei V presents a detailed romantic proposal in the heady haze of “Tabacco” and performs even more explicit acts on the deceptively easygoing “èmó.” On more than one occasion, he gives his R&B side the spotlight, most notably on “Lonely” and the dembow-driven “Kisses.” Guests range from respected Puerto Rican rappers Kendo Kaponi and Juanka on the confrontational “Halloween” to the comparatively smoother likes of Ozuna on the prurient perreo “Once y Once.” Rauw Alejandro raises the temperature considerably on the intensely seductive “All Night,” while Myke Towers and Nicky Jam add their respective rap signatures to the boom-bap-accented “UNA DE UNA.” Still, when both Baby Ranks and Wisin show up for the reggae groove of “Tu Champion,” it’s hard not to recognize and respect Dei V’s reach. Our Favorite Track: It doesn’t take a New York Mets fan to recognize the home run energy embodied by his bars on the trap variant “JuanSoto.”
