“It was such a surreal and full-circle moment to be asked by Hospital Records to provide a mix for their 30th anniversary…drum ’n’ bass will always be my first musical love,” Laurence Guy tells Apple Music. The London-based DJ/producer and radio host dug deep into his own crates for this exhilarating set, which features laidback beats from Commix, John B, Rockwell, and more. “I started collecting drum ’n’ bass records when I was 13, from local Guildford institution Dance2 Records and HMV,” says Guy. “Hospital is one of the most seminal labels in the genre, and it was a pleasure to have a look back through my collection to put this together. I decided to keep it simple with a bunch of timeless cuts from my favorite artists over the years…this is a good one for the pres and the afters.”
