Eternally charismatic Los Angeles rapper 03 Greedo emerged a decade ago as a streetwise purveyor of West Coast hip-hop allure with the Purple Summer series. Between that and this 2026 outing, he went through an unfortunate period of incarceration yet managed to capitalize on his second chance with solid releases like Halfway There and the Detroit-informed Hella Greedy. Compared with those robust projects, the far more concise Last Night Out distills his appeal into roughly a half-hour’s worth of engaging material. Coming some nine years after its last installment, “If I, Pt. 3” continues Greedo’s earnest probings with melodic support from explicit R&B exponent Ty Dolla $ign. Desires and flexes blur together on the impossibly smooth “2 Seater” with Desto Dubb, while Wallie The Sensei and Kalan.FrFr add to the hedonistic mischief on “BTA.” Even without guests, he floats over the accusatory “White Lies” and the exultant “Fine China,” his unmistakable if sometimes inscrutable delivery part of his charm. Our Favorite Track: A foray into sexy drill terrain, “Cougar” ends the project on a subtly raunchy, oddly anthemic note.
