The World Is Yours

After leaving federal custody in 2024, Michigan rap mainstay Rio Da Yung Og recommenced his career at a downright prolific pace with a series of 2025 releases including F.L.I.N.T. (Feeling Like I’m Not Through) and the Bfb Da Packman team-up Olympic Shit Talking. Each of those records featured his lurid brand of unfiltered lyricism, a style that remains as nasty as he wants it to be on the immersive full-length The World Is Yours. Copious consumption of powerful narcotics and luxury goods effectively mark all 22 tracks, starting with the reckless reveals of “Be Like Me” and culminating in the lascivious flexes of “Okay Wit Dat.” Whether doling out accusations on “Lemme Guess” or laying out a filthy agenda on “Finna Drop (Tour),” he leaves a lasting impression over the booming, homegrown production. He’s hardly alone in his debauchery, detailing graphic exploits with YN Jay on “New York Minute” and sipping conspicuously with Veeze on “Superstar.” Our Favorite Track: Lil Yachty and Tierra Whack bring their respective sui generis styles to the melodically off-kilter “Crooked Elbow.”
