Salad Days Demos

Salad Days Demos

Mac DeMarco’s spongy, lo-fi soft rock already has a lived-in quality to it. Unsurprisingly, his demos are just as appealing—sometimes more so—buffing out the slight gloss of his studio albums and letting the humid, daydreamy quality of his sketches seep through. In addition to loose renditions of Salad Days standouts like “Goodbye Weekend” and “Passing Out Pieces,” this collection rounds up a couple of DeMarco’s otherwise unreleased instrumentals, including “Sloopy Lau Lau” and “Pepperoni Playboy”—both as goofy, but inspired, as their titles.
