We made - EP

The K-pop girl group mixes up their maximalist style. Intensity may vary on We made, the 2026 EP from K-pop girl group i-dle (formerly known as [G]I-DLE). The group known for maximalist tracks like “Queencard” and “Klaxon” goes chiller for the collection’s summer siren song. With an assist from Nigerian-born producer Daramola, i-dle leans into Latin pop for lead single “Gimme Dat Love,” a mellow jam beckoning a potential lover closer. Elsewhere, slice-of-life anthem “Morning” is similarly laidback yet still spritely in its chronicling of an early jog that keeps the singers unplugged from the social media cacophony. But i-dle gets the crowd fully stomping on “Crow,” a glam-rock challenge to K-pop’s hyper-competitive culture. “The moment you stop, you’re eliminated/Lingering outside the spotlight/Nurturing something futile,” Taiwanese member Shuhua raps on the track, which was written by Korean leader Soyeon in 2021, following the departure of Soojin from the group. i-dle brings in British rapper skaiwater to feature on “Mono,” a dance-pop track that encourages listeners to be themselves: “Whether East or West, whether straight or gay/Every day and night, dance to your real vibe.” Chinese member Yuqi gets personal on the lyrics to “Love Is Pain,” which she wrote for the group. “I still wanna hold your hand/But this love was built on sand,” Soyeon sings on the breakup ballad—an album conclusion that proves music doesn’t have to be uptempo to be fierce.
