Lost In Another World

Lost In Another World

The English producer and member of Simian Mobile Disco and The Last Shadow Puppets has had a hand in some of the most beloved UK albums of this century, having worked with everyone from Klaxons and Arctic Monkeys to Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode. But life changed overnight for the prolific musician when he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2024. Recorded entirely by himself in a hospital bed while receiving rounds of chemo in 2025, Ford’s second solo album, Lost in Another World, was born of the producer’s unshakeable urge to lift his own spirits and reconnect with a version of himself from the before times. There are moments of heartbreak and existential despair, but unexpectedly, the prevailing mood is one of tender awe for the world that we share, from “Till Our Days Are Gone,” a love letter to his wife, to the resolutely optimistic “Silver Lining.”
