After careening from viral fame to opening slots for My Chemical Romance and Pierce the Veil, the Brit rock act Crawlers took a break to take stock. Now a trio, the group is rebooting itself with a four-song EP that chronicles its members’ efforts to wring hope out of dark times. Anthemic choruses paired with despondent lyrics provide an outlet for catharsis. “Afraid to Die” charts the progression from overwhelming world-weariness to cautious optimism, while on the slow-burning “All We Have Is Us” vocalist Holly Minto lets her anxieties out in hopes of taking a sledgehammer to her peers’ facades.
