“Kicking off this month’s mix is something brand new on Perfecto’s sister label, 48K Records,” Paul Oakenfold tells Apple Music about the February 2026 installment of his Planet Perfecto series. “It’s a track from Soft Cell’s Marc Almond called ‘Perfect Honey.’ Marc originally produced this back in 2001 with no real plans to release it. I signed to Perfecto in 2005 and now, all these years later, it’s finally been brought back to life with brand-new mixes. The reaction so far has been incredible.” Elsewhere in a mix that also includes a HUGEL remix of Teddy Swims, Oakenfold’s own “Viola,” and Paul van Dyk and reznor’s “Stay,” the superstar DJ celebrates the recent return of another important figure in dance music. “I’ve always been a huge fan of what Kaskade does, and this one—‘DNCR’—is massive for me,” says Oakenfold. “And as always, I’m wrapping things up with a classic [‘The Single’ by Rise]. Rise takes us back to 1994. At the time, I had a side project with Steve Osborne—we were heavily influenced by the Goa trance scene. It was a real moment in time…and one I’m still very proud of.”
