Miracle Mile

Miracle Mile

Named for the Los Angeles neighborhood in which he resides, Paul Russell’s Miracle Mile is a tribute to community. After the whirlwind success of his 2023 hit “Lil Boo Thang,” the rapper and singer slowed down in 2025 to spend more time with family and reconnect with old friends. The conversations he had inspired many of the EP’s songs, which reflect on love and the people who make a place feel like home. The soulful bluesiness of “400 Cities” captures the ache of missing someone while on the road, while “Party @” discovers that even the most crowded room can feel empty without the right person beside you. The playful “High Maintenance” and “Carat Cake” pick up the mood with sunny, feel-good grooves as Russell opens both his heart and wallet to spoil his lady. Like “Lil Boo Thang,” both songs flip beloved classics—Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much” and Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September,” respectively—into generation-bridging jams for singing, dancing, and celebrating with the people around you.
