Foggieraw’s got confidence in his abilities. Why else would he name his first two albums after Luther Vandross, one of the most celebrated crooners in modern music? Fogtavious Vandross and Fogtavious Vandross 2, from 2018 and 2022 respectively, set the stage for Foggie’s major-label debut, the swaggering, boisterous With No Due Respect. The DMV-raised rapper and singer is coming for what he feels is his on the 2026 collection, moving from testaments to his own skill to heart-on-sleeve confessionals about what he looks for in an ideal partner. There’s an approachability to the songs on With No Due Respect, though, that helps frame the confidence as something more inviting than cocky. This is thanks to, in large part, Foggieraw’s humor and the genuine way he approaches life’s most perplexing concepts. Take “Psalm 62,” for example, where he tries to square being a good Christian with the lust that consumes him: “Given mе yo’ body in 60 different views,” he spits joyfully. It’s a tone that’s only amplified when the angel on his shoulder reminds him, “That’s not what God meant when he said, ‘Give me all of you.’”
