Real N***a Holiday

Real N***a Holiday

Kevin Gates’ festive holiday entrant is less about the Christmas spirit than it is an opportunity for him to count his blessings…and flex ’em, too. The Louisiana legend uses Real N***a Holiday to reflect on love, lust, freedom, and money. Following official releases in 2025 like I’m Him 2 and Luca Brasi 4, Real N***a Holiday is a low-stakes affair, like the morning after Christmas when everyone is enjoying leftovers and playing with their new gifts. Gates stretches his flow in all sorts of playful directions, like on opener “Grwm,” where he switches between a yelping melody and a rap flow that sounds like a boulder rolling down a hill. On the track, he reflects on the wins of his year, showcasing a more contemplative side during the interlude: “I just wanna take this time out and say, like/Like, I used to dream about bein’ in the studio with my hat backwards.” Kevin Gates is at peace. He concludes: “And I’m that n***a I always wanted to be right now, you heard me?”
