Since the turn of the 2020s, Tamil pop hitmaker Sai Abhyankkar has dominated South Indian music with a string of singles adored by fans of all ages. The composer and multi-instrumentalist hasn’t crafted too many film soundtracks, however, so when he took on 2025 romcom Dude, there was much rejoicing. He brought in celebrated vocalists like Jonita Gandhi to front the folk-pop tunes—plus, the Telugu version of this four-track OST marks his first foray into the language. Playful opener “Boom Boom” is a lively highlight, and Gandhi’s pipes on “Nee Gunde Lona” are nothing short of delicious.
