German metalcore stars Our Mirage return with their first album since the departure of guitarist Steffen “Stiff” Hirz in 2024. On Fractured Minds, vocalist/producer Timo Bonner and his bandmates—bassist Manuel Möbs, drummer Daniel Maus, and new guitarist David (just “David,” apparently)—deliver shapeshifting modern metalcore that veers into hip-hop (“Fractured”), electronic pop (“Right Now”), and grinding nu-metal (“Farewell”), sometimes within the same song. They’re joined by vocalist Christopher Kristensen of Swedish metalcore crew Dead By April on “Don’t Talk,” by fellow Germans Elwood Stray on “The Chase,” and by extreme metal vocal coach Screamistry on “Timeloss.”
