This October 2025 mix from Dutch techno adventurer Hollt isn’t just a showcase for his inventive, melodic productions and remixes—it’s also a demonstration of his unique craftsmanship. “What makes this one special is that it’s based on a ‘live stem mix,’ created using the Holltesizer, my self-built controller designed for live performances,” he tells Apple Music. “Instead of mixing two stereo tracks, I worked with 16 separate stems, allowing every transition to breathe and evolve more organically. The result feels alive, as if the tracks melt into one another in real time.” While marveling at his technique, you can also trace the producer’s evolution in music. “This mix represents a journey through the emotional and cinematic side of my sound,” he says. “It moves between deep introspection and that floating, euphoric energy I always chase in the studio. It also features some of my most iconic records, like ‘Mind Escape’ and ‘Orbital Love,’ alongside my newest collaboration, ‘Out of Time’ with Diana Miro, a track that perfectly bridges where my sound has been and where it’s heading.”
