A gap of 14 months may not appear like a long time between releases. But it seems like an age in Punjabi music, where many acts barely go a week without a fresh single. That year-plus is how long it took G. Sidhu—whose previous collection was August 2024 EP WILDCARD—to drop this seven-track album. It was a conscious decision, says the singer and practising psychiatrist, who felt the break was needed for him to “reconnect with my love for music”. This renewed passion shines through Punjabi World Order, on which the globally influenced production finds a perfect foil in the seeped-in-the-soil vocals and vibe.
