The Agenda: July 2025 (DJ Mix)

With Wireless 2025 on the horizon—and the likes of PARTYNEXTDOOR and Summer Walker supporting Drake on his three-night headline run at the festival—DONCH put together this July 2025 mix as a celebration of R&B. It features tracks from the aforementioned trio—plus plenty of other artists as DONCH taps into the rich diversity of the genre today. “R&B has many moods,” he tells Apple Music. “From the slow jams at the beginning to the drill-inspired tempos in the middle and the Afro-fused stuff at the end, there’s a balance for people who really love R&B.” Read on as he talks us through some of the key sings on the mix. PARTYNEXTDOOR, “Break from Toronto” “This was a pivotal song for my journey into newer R&B sounds when I was at uni.” Leon Thomas, “MUTT (REMIX)” “Every few years, there’s one, maybe two songs that you just know are gonna stand the test of time—our new throwbacks being created in real time. ‘MUTT’ is one of those songs.” Plies, “Shawty” (feat. T-Pain) “One of the greatest R&B choruses on a rap song of all time. Literally never gets old.” Zapp, “Computer Love” “Way before my time but a testament that good music will last forever. Every time I DJ, I always use this song to mix in newer songs that have sampled the original.” Angel, IQ & Haile, “No Games” (feat. WSTRN) “Sometimes, you hear new songs and immediately connect to them but for some reason they don’t do as well commercially as you think they should. This is one of those ‘Why doesn’t everyone know this song?’ type of songs. A very underrated gem.”
