SINK NOW, SWIM LATER

SINK NOW, SWIM LATER

SIENNA SPIRO is a smoky-voiced singer from London who is as inspired by Etta James as she is by early-2000s hip-hop. Before her breakout with the viral hit “Die on This Hill” in 2026, her 2025 debut EP SINK NOW, SWIM LATER compiled the 20-year-old singer-songwriter’s past standalone singles into one project. Across eight tracks, she passionately belts about heartbreak with a wise-beyond-her-years perspective, running the gamut of complicated emotions that occur when you lose someone you love. On breakout hit “MAYBE.,” she hopes an ex feels as broken as she does, letting go of how badly she wanted them before. On “NEED ME,” Spiro is more desperate for a former lover’s heart, hoping they’ll need her the way she needs them. Beneath her lyrics is sparse, minimalist production that feels as naked as the vulnerability of Spiro’s songwriting feels. All that’s left is the sound of a star emerging.
