For the ninth installment of their The Beat Factory series, Adelphi Music Factory rifled through their record collection to unearth cuts they think it’s time for everyone to hear. It is, as the Sheffield collective’s Christian Nockall tells Apple Music, “a dusty-fingered dig through AMF’s crates of vinyl, showcasing US house gems, forgotten classics, and a few cheeky bootlegs, as well as unreleased Beat Factory exclusives.” All of which comes from names including DJ Q, Johnick, DJ Sneak, Armand Van Helden featuring Old Skool Junkies, and Gemini—artists who are united by this mix’s guiding principle. “It’s a snapshot of house at its most simple and compelling,” says Nockall. “All about the groove and the feeling.”
