The follow-up to his 2022 EP Every Little Detail is even more unabashedly romantic: He wastes no time trying to win your heart on the opening “I Choose You,” a soaring piano-ballad devotional that sounds like a wedding first-dance standard in the making, while the spirited folk-pop of “Long Story Short” feels like a renewal of vows as Blakk conjures vivid memories from the early stages of a relationship to reaffirm his unwavering commitment to his partner in the here and now. However, as its parenthetical subtitle suggests, Undone (Love & Loss) offsets its mash-note serenades with unguarded expressions of post-breakup bitterness, most notably the closing title track, where Blakk unloads on an ex with unflinching, F-bombed fury.
