Just months after dropping a sequel to 2017’s Skuba Sada, the prolific Detroit rap standout turns yet another one of his projects into a series as well. As has become his trademark, Bartier Bounty 2 reflects Sada Baby’s extensive if insular set of interests via clever references and even cleverer rhymes. On “Kourtside,” he name-drops the Clermont twins and Kevin Costner with the same ease with which he does firearms and opioid brands. His brazenness may shock some on the lascivious “50 SHADES Of Red,” but it’s all part of his larger-than-life appeal. An eager collaborator, he connects with G Herbo for Midwest solidarity on “150/55” and DeJ Loaf on the soaring weekender “BILLIE Holiday,” always finding his place in the mix.
