It was never hard to hear Aerosmith’s blues roots in their gloriously grimy hits of the ’70s. Yet the hard rockers’ fifth album was their first deep dive into that well of inspiration. Determined as ever to have a good time, Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry apply the same bravado to smoking hot covers of Otis Rush’s “All Your Love” and Kokomo Arnold’s “Milk Cow Blues” as they do to originals like the brass-powered “Wanna Know Why” and the satisfyingly raunchy “Get It Up.”
