Nashville-via-Toronto singer-songwriter Steven Lee Olsen has had a hand in a number of country hits, co-writing for artists like Keith Urban, Mickey Guyton, and Garth Brooks. But he's also an acclaimed artist in his own right. Following July’s Relationship Goals EP, Thinkin’ Bout You is a three-song sampler anchored by its relentlessly catchy title track, which pairs a laidback beat with Olsen’s soulful voice for true pop crossover appeal. “Lost on Me” recalls the R&B-influenced country pop of Devin Dawson, with a fiery electric guitar solo reminiscent of Continuum-era John Mayer. And closing track “It Just Hit Me” is Olsen at his twangiest, singing of the electric feeling of new love over distorted banjo.
