Popcaan is the lightest of dancehall's heavyweights, floating riddims into the clouds with his bubbly vocals. Here Brooklyn producer Dre Skull hooks him up with a collection of equally ebullient beats. "Everything Nice," for instance, skips in slow motion like a rock across a pond, as the sing-jay narrates the world's chillest afternoon. That calm is hard-won, though. On steadfast opener "Hold On" he encourages the oppressed to stand their ground, and "The System" becomes Popcaan’s rallying cry against the status quo.
