Leave it to Lil Dicky to mix hip-hop and absurdist satire, as he cooks up an alter ego to personify his scattered mind. Brain is a total mess: One minute, he lays claim to Dicky’s lyrical prowess over spluttering bass (“Whippin’ It Up”), while the next, he uses silky R&B to reveal his fear of drugs and sexual inexperience (“Cocaine”). Much to Dicky’s chagrin, Brain smothers his voice in Auto-Tune and tries to hit the club on the spoof EDM track “Brainstorm.”
