For more than two decades, G.V. Prakash Kumar has been crafting Tamil movie soundtracks with grace and flair. One of the most famous examples of the composer’s elan is his OST for 2016 action thriller Theri, featuring top voices such as Hariharan, Bombay Jayashri and Balachandran. Highlights include the earthy vocals on opener “Jithu Jilladi”, the soulful “En Jeevan” and the cheeky, rap-infused “Eena Meena Teeka”. Kumar even brings in the film’s lead, Vijay, to duet with Neeti Mohan on EDM-meets-folk song “Chella Kutti” before “Dub Theri Step” rounds it all off with pomp and power.
