BUNT.’s debut album Levi Did It is a hard-won victory lap. Playing off the title of his 2024 EP Levi Don’t Do It, the German producer born Levi Wijk channels nearly a decade of industry dead ends, financial instability and doubt—both self-inflicted and external—into 15 tracks of dance-floor catharsis. His ability to translate complex emotions into festival-sized production shines throughout: “TRIPPIN” struggles to find connection amid mental chaos that’s as disorienting as its drum ’n’ bass foundation, the soaring “Back to the Start” captures the childlike innocence of returning to your roots, and “Nothing Lasts Forever” sparks vivid nostalgia through spoken-word vocals buoyed by warm piano melodies. “Best Day of My Life (BUNT. Version)” practices raw gratitude, a sentiment echoed in the weightless interlude “Bekkaa Outro”. Closing with “What If You Fly (Sweet Disposition)”, BUNT. retools The Temper Trap’s indie-rock classic into a sky-scraping affirmation that trades fear for hope: Instead of asking “What if I fall?”, it dares to ask “What if I don’t?”.
