The title of Rochelle Jordan’s 2025 third album came with a double meaning. On one hand, Through the Wall harkened back to her childhood habit of listening to her brother’s dance music seeping through her bedroom wall; on the other, it signified the R&B innovator’s refusal to be put in any kind of box. That album, a collection of luxe dance tunes with pop polish and velveteen vocals, earned the British Canadian musician a spot on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist and established Jordan as a bona fide diva of the after hours. She follows that record with a series of five EPs (Disc 1-5) offering remixed versions of Through the Wall standouts from dance-music legends. The first instalment includes an acid-tinged “Ladida” rework from Honey Dijon, a sultry “Get It Off” flip from executive producer KLSH and an eight-minute reimagining of “I’m Your Muse” from house pioneer Ron Trent.
