A love letter to the rave culture where the UK producer duo found their calling. For Prospa, rave is life. Inspired by legendary electronic acts like Daft Punk, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, Leeds producers Harvey Blumler and Guiorgi “Gosha” Smith established their mission statement with 2019’s “Control the Party”, a skyward anthem for the DJs tasked with curating good vibes night after night. Over the next half decade, as they pushed to the forefront of UK dance music, the breakbeats and ’90s rave nostalgia that once defined the duo’s catalogue eventually evolved into more straightforward house grooves—still old-school, still made for filling big rooms. In 2025, Prospa broke through stateside and on the dance charts with the ’80s-inspired single “Love Songs”. Their follow-up “Free Your Mind” brought even bigger success amid major festival gigs, where packed crowds feeding on sweaty grooves proved they still, in fact, had a hold on the dance floor. (Prophecy, Prospa’s live event series, literalised this dynamic with its stage design: puppet strings dangling from a pair of hands above the DJ booth.) Free Your Mind, Prospa’s debut album, is a love letter to the space where they found their calling. Made with collaborators including Cloonee, KETTAMA and Murda Beatz, it runs thick with throbbing basslines, ’90s organ chords and rousing vocals. “The Situation” offers a transcendent welcome to the party with airy synths and the declaration that, here, “All is right with the world.” From there, “Break Free” is a meditation for release, and “Let the Music” preaches the healing power of song, gospel-house soul for Ibiza terraces. “Body Heat” and “Baby” make space for lust with deep, dark basslines and shadowy atmospheres. “Dreams” closes the album on a warm, euphoric high, like stepping outside the club after an all-nighter and feeling the sun on your face.
