As ever, he’s a Southern nostalgist, channelling Pimp C over sax solos and honeyed soul samples on “Boobie Miles”. But anxiety creeps in: On “Man on Fire”, prog-rock guitars underscore nightmares of dying, and on the breathless, hookless “Red Eye”, K.R.I.T. desperately tries to salvage a broken relationship.
