About Hooligans

Hungarian rock band Hooligans broke through to mainstream success in 2003 with the album Szenzáció and its several hit singles. Subsequent albums by the band were commercial blockbusters, hitting the upper reaches of the Hungarian charts and spawning several singles each. Founded in 1996 in Szerencs, Hungary, Hooligans made their album debut in 1997, and their fourth album, Szenzáció (2003), brought the band mainstream success. It topped the Hungarian albums chart and spawned the singles "Királylány," "Játszom," and "Legyen Valami." Although Hooligans' commercial success waned over time, they remained reliably popular, and their seventh album, Privát Mennyország (2008), hit the upper reaches of the Hungarian charts. ~ Jason Birchmeier
