Kassi Ashton

Kassi Ashton tempers her rural country roots with hints of gritty soul and atmospheric rock, creating a distinctive, unusual synthesis that can be heard on her 2018 debut single, "California, Missouri," the title of which is the name of Ashton's hometown. In the years after the single's release, she sharpened her stylistic synthesis by emphasizing a pop production with flair, culminating in the slick 2023 hit "Drive You Out of My Mind" and its brawny 2024 successor "Called Crazy," two songs that anchored her debut album, Made from the Dirt. An expanded version of the album later yielded another popular single in 2025's "Sounds Like Something I'd Say" with Parker McCollum.
