In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is my grandfather giving my brother a violin. I was around 4 years old, and something quietly opened in me. A year later, I began playing too. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frou Frou, Details London Grammar, If You Wait Ólafur Arnalds, Island Songs Details by Frou Frou helped me to define the music I love. If You Wait by London Grammar made me believe I could sing and write. Island Songs by Ólafur Arnalds holds the first feelings Louis & I shared while creating for the first time together. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Empty Note” “Empty Note” is one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever written. It captures what couldn’t be said at the time, the silence, the absence. There’s a fragility in it that still feels unresolved and can’t really be explained. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing in Jeddah in front of 10,000 people at Ballad Beast Festival. Hearing them sing the songs back to us was overwhelming. I remember trying to stay present while tears came, the moment was bigger than everything that I’ve ever experienced. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Louis and I would love to score a film or a series one day. Writing music that lives with images, that follows a story beyond us, that feels like a natural extension of what we do.
