In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. ALAM: I very much remember one time that my Dad was playing a contemporary music piece with his ensemble. I was just a little child and I got so scared that I hid under the piano and then I asked the ensemble not to play the "piece of the monsters". What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? U.K., U.K. ALAM: U.K. is one of the albums I heard the most as a child. To this day I find this album the most comprehensive example of what progressive rock really is: intelligent, technical, and yet passionate and instinctive. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dancing on an Earthquake” ALAM: The most ambitious track we have ever done as a band. It is one of those cases when more is more; the more we added, the better it got! And the result is a powerful mayhem of polyrhythmic riffs which narrate the far future of our Universe. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? ALAM: It would definitely be the recording of Walking on an Earthlike Planet, because it was the first time of many things for us! First time in California, first time recording an album, first trip together, first time working with Billy Sherwood! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? ALAM: Our main goal is to acquire more audience, and for that, we need to play live, and play a lot! Once we build a solid audience, we will start pitching to record labels, but there are plenty of aspects to discuss before taking that step.
