About Balbino Medellin

Balbino Medellín is a French singer, songwriter, and guitarist with a Spanish-influenced style who released his debut album in 2006. Born of Spanish heritage in 1979, he learned how to sing and play the guitar as well as the violin at a young age. He debuted commercially in 2001 with a song from Sergent Garcia's album Sin Fronteras, and spent the next few years recording and touring with Garcia, Mano Solo, and Bernard Lavilliers. Medellín made his solo album debut in 2006 with Gitan de Paname. Produced by Alain Pewzner, it spawned the single "Pigalle ou Tes Yeux." The follow-up, Le Soleil et l'Ouvrier, appeared in 2008. ~ Jason Birchmeier
