Danny James

Bay Area musician Danny James earned recognition as a bassist with the garage punk band the Cuts. After the band called it a day, James and longtime friend Mike "General Luau" Generalao (also a veteran of the Cuts) began working on a handful of projects, and when James formed his own band using the name Danny James & Pear, Generalao signed on as lead guitarist. Burger Records offered to release an album from James' band, and in 2013 they issued Pear. James went on to work with San Francisco's Once and Future Band as a bassist and musical/spiritual advisor. ~ Mark Deming
