Black Foxxes

English power trio Black Foxxes combine '90s grunge and indie rock influences with early-2000s emo and alt-country elements to produce a visceral, emotive racket. Led by guitarist and singer Mark Holley, the group made an impressive debut with 2016's I'm Not Well, which matched an explosive sound to the dark introspection of Holley's lyrics, and 2018's Reiði offered a more polished and dynamic sound while still delivering big guitars and powerful emotions. 2020's Black Foxxes emphasized the contrast between their heavy and gentle sides, and 2025's independently recorded The Haar was their most subtle and atmospheric work to date.
