About Big Brave

Montreal's BIG|BRAVE play a sprawling, hypnotic form of experimental rock that draws from metal, drone, and folk traditions. They started out as a minimalist folk group before embracing guitar feedback and creating heavier material, eventually signing to Southern Lord and releasing several albums, starting with 2015's Au de La. A 2021 collaboration with the Body, Leaving None But Small Birds, was a return to their folk roots. The raw, cathartic nature morte appeared in 2023, and the heavy yet restrained A Chaos of Flowers emerged in 2024.
