About Marco Di Meco

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory: playing the organetto for tipsy crowds after my waiter shifts. From there to jazz, up to my greatest emotion today: wearing headphones to hear my own tango recorded by a quartet in Buenos Aires. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Astor Piazzolla quintet, Il Bandoneon Di Astor Piazzolla Dame Joan Sutherland, John Alldis Choir, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Luciano Pavarotti, Montserrat Caballé, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Zubin Mehta, Puccini: Turandot Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Piazzolla's album because it contains all the music that has captivated me and made me dream since I was a kid. "Kind of Blue' is absolutely the most beautiful album ever recorded in the history of music to this day. Puccini melodies and harmonies Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Milonga Para Resolver” I love "Milonga Para Resolver". Unlike my new release, it was born from a visceral urge to hear something new. I instinctively composed and orchestrated it for a tango quartet. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Definitely the first time I wrote down the notes of the music I felt inside. Discovering that I had something of my own to say through notes and sound. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think that having an endlessly full bucket list is something an artist simply cannot escape. At this very moment, my biggest dream is to see dancers performing to one of my tangos.
