Downtown Boys

Fusing rabble-rousing polemics with an impassioned blend of punk, R&B, indie rock, and Latin music, Downtown Boys are a band who take their message just as seriously as their music, summoning a fiery joy when they perform. Boasting a multi-racial, gender inclusive, and bilingual lineup, Downtown Boys was formed by a pair of labor activists who used their music to call for social, political, and economic justice, proving they could both entertain and inform on 2015's Full Communism. They sounded even stronger and more committed on 2017's Cost of Living, and they stripped down their arrangements without blunting their impact on 2026's Public Luxury.
