Air Max '97

Air Max '97, the alias of electronic musician/producer/DJ Oliver Van Der Lugt, describes his material as "nightmare dance music." But it's hardly as terrifying as that nickname might indicate -- fast-paced and frenetic, sure, but quite enjoyable in its quirks. He started his own label, DECISIONS, in 2015, releasing several singles there as well as 2018 debut album Nacre. Off-label collaborations followed, but he often returned to his home base for mixtapes (2024's *for U), longform projects (like the 2024 instrumental dump PRODUCTION DOSSIER) and EPs (2019's Falling Not Walking, 2026's Fool's Errand).
