About Clara La San

Clara La San's ruminative ballads and slow jams mix contemporary R&B and bedroom pop. A perfectionist, the Manchester, England-based singer/songwriter and producer pulled her Jam City-assisted Good Mourning mixtape -- featuring "Let You Go," her spare and hypnotic 2014 breakthrough -- within a couple years of its 2017 release. By the time she issued her equally heady and heartfelt 2024 debut album, Made Mistakes, La San had been intermittently active for a decade, and had collaborated with the select likes of Yves Tumor, Bicep, Gorgon City, and Bryson Tiller.
