Isabel Leonard

Mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard has been highly visible in the 2020s, appearing in the Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro. She has appeared at major opera houses in the U.S. and Europe. Leonard has also performed on several award-winning opera recordings. Her operatic recording debut came in 2014 on a video recording of Thomas Adès' The Tempest. Leonard appeared in 2021 on the album From the Diary of Anne Frank & Meditations on Rilke, with Michael Tilson Thomas conducting the San Francisco Symphony. Those performances with Tilson Thomas appeared on Grace, the 2024 compilation of his recent work issued in connection with his 80th birthday.
