About Dustin Kensrue
Known primarily as the lead singer, lyricist, and guitarist for the Irvine, California experimental post-hardcore quartet Thrice, Dustin Kensrue is also a talented roots music artist with a sound that leans toward faith-based country-rock and Americana and touches on spiritual and secular themes. After releasing three albums in the early 2000s with Thrice (Identity Crisis, The Illusion of Safety, and The Artist in the Ambulance), Kensrue began working on solo acoustic material, emerging with his debut album, Please Come Home, in 2007. Since then, he has continued to lead his flagship band while issuing lauded solo efforts like 2013's Billboard-charting contemporary worship outing The Water & the Blood and 2024's country & western-leaning Death Valley Honeymoon.
