In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In kindergarten instead of hanging out with the other kids I would make my teacher come to the book corner and listen to me sing Beatles songs. My obsession with the Beatles fueled my discovery of music and still does. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) Vince Guaraldi Trio, A Charlie Brown Christmas (Original 1965 TV Soundtrack) Expanded Edition The Beatles at their weirdest and most manic - it's so weird but White Album has been my fav for awhile now. Stevie Wonder? Come on bro. Love's in Need of Love Today. Forget about it. And then Charlie Brown? Accessible intellectual music. I love it. Tell us why you chose this song. “In Spite of the World That's Around Me All That I Dream of Is You” I remember writing this song during 2020. My roommate was watching Inception and I was like, huh, let's write a song about dreaming. It's almost like a 3 stanza riddle and after that, I started writing more songs that followed that pattern. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Last August I rented a cabin in Topanga Canyon outside of LA. I invited an all star cast of my favorite collaborators and friends from all over the world. Sydney, Windsor, Detroit, LA and beyond. We wrote and recorded my next record. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Okay this is heady - my Auntie Junhu told me something last year: Go out into the world and find out who you are. It's the only journey that matters and everyone has to take it. Changed my life tbh, that's the one and only thing on my bucket list.
