Real-life accounts of heartbreak and resilience drive Rachael Fahim’s bright, bold country pop—whether it’s losing a boyfriend to his ex (“Good Luck”) or being stood up after a long beautifying session (“Waste of Makeup”). “All these moments that happen in life, they shape you and they make you who you are,” Fahim told Apple Music about her 2026 debut album, tellingly titled Who You Are. “So, all of these songs have made me who I am.” Growing up in the northern Sydney suburb of Cherrybrook and busking as a child, she secured the Toyota Star Maker award at 2017’s Tamworth Country Music Festival and soon became a reliable presence on Australian commercial radio.
