Ravine

After the 1995 breakup of the Omaha noise outfit Ritual Device, the three remaining members -- Eric Ebers (drums/vocals), Mike Saklar (guitar/ vocals), and Randy Cotton (bass/ vocals) -- went on to form Ravine. The trio continued the Ritual Device method of bass-driven angst that looked up to the likes of the Jesus Lizard, Shellac, and Killdozer. -ismist Records eventually captured this sound two years after their formation with the 1997 release of Ravine's self-titled full-length. ~ Mike DaRonco
