In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I picked up the acoustic guitar at 19 years old, back when I worked the overnight shift at my local talk radio station. I learned to play the guitar to the sounds of Art Bell and Stan Freberg over the sleepless nights of the late 90s. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Delerium, Chimera Jars of Clay, Much Afraid Yanni, Yanni - Live at the Acropolis - 25th Anniversary Edition Here are three albums that shaped my musical ear more than any others, soundtracks to my teenage years and twenties, scores that grounded my novel writings. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shadows” To date this remains my favorite piece. Everything just came together with this one, a haunting song with perfect strings, a solid bass, and an oboe solo in the bridge inspired by Beethoven's 5th. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Once I discovered computers had become powerful enough to program music, I dove in headfirst and was finally able to put a lot of my melodies to ear. I've always played the guitar, but this was something special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As a general rule I try to keep an empty bucket list. No point in waiting until the end to do the things I love.
