Francis Mercier

Haitian producer and DJ Francis Mercier makes richly melodic dance music that blends tech-house with African and Caribbean influences. He is the co-founder of the New York-based record label and artist management agency Deep Root Records. He began releasing music in the early 2010s, but received more notice for his work during the following decade, as tracks like 2020's "Heart of Mine" and 2021's "Premier Gaou" blew up. This led to successful collaborations with Amadou & Mariam, Black Uhuru, Emmanuel Jal, and others. Continuing to expand his musical palette, he released "Baianá (Boa Noite)," sampling the Brazilian group Barbatuques, in 2025.
