In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing my parents play Calypso and Ska music from Jamaica as a kid. My mom loved "My Boy Lollipop" by Millie Smalls, which was one of the first Jamaican songs to hit it big internationally. It was so vibrant and fresh but unknown in my NJ circle. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Khruangbin, Late Night Tales: Khruangbin Scientist, The Scientist Rids the World of the Curse of the Evil Intergalactic Vampires! 1. Great compilation of Marley songs. Really showcases the depth of his writing. So raw, yet melodic. 2. An amazing, high quality compilation of delightful gems from Khruangbin; just lovely. 3. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dark Side of the Sun” I made this song across 4 countries! I wrote the lyrics while traveling in the Himalayas. I tracked the instruments in my NJ studio. Ariana Celaeno's vox were recorded in Hungary, and I mixed it at Bob Marley's legendary Tuff Gong Studio in Jamaica.
